30/05/12 - Tenacious

We are Aft Starboard watch on the ship Tenacious. This morning it is very foggy and visibility is poor. This is our third day on board. We are currently saiing in the English Channel. We boarded Tenacious at 1 o'clock on Monday ,28th of May.We are really enjoying our voyage and think it is a wonderful experience. We have met loads of new people and the crew are really nice. Yesterday we climbed the mast and yards and then let down the sails. It was kind of scary but we knew it was a once in a lifetime opportunity. Today we hope to climb to the very top of the mast and ring the bell. On Friday we will dock in London. We will sail up the Thames and under Tower Bridge, which will be raised especially for Tenacious. We have learned lots of new skills and we will be sad to leave the ship. In Irish we would say Beidh suil again chun taisteal slaintuil again, we hope we have a safe
