Still doing about six knots heading up past Nevis and St Kitts, ready to anchor off St Barths close to the rocks for a sea swim from ship. The engines were only used for the last one tenth of a mile as we tried to anchor under sail. The swim was amazing!
There was a low swell and a little current but we felt safe with the DOTI boat nearby.
Abramovich's yachts were moored nearby, and looked very impressive.
We spotted some turtles with their heads above the water. During the night a flying fish landed on deck and the watch preserved it in an ice-cream tub for inspection. BBQ on board this evening, another of Hammy's triumphs, followed entertainment co-coordinated by Ronan and his guitar on deck along with our rendition of Shirley Height's steel drum band, topped off with a Scottish reel. At anchor tonight ready for short trip ashore tomorrow.
It's a rotten job but somebody has to do it.
This morning was all hands to the doti boat. The permanent crew brought us gracefully alongside in St Barths, our orange doti boat was outdone by a sleek tender just beside us topped with leather seats, oh the comfort. A lovely day ashore was had and now it is time for us to weigh anchor and return to Antigua... Off we go - once more, weighing anchor under sail, without using engines.
