- PRESS RELEASE - We’re offering you the chance to do something completely different with your Thursday evening – we’re offering you the chance to walk on red hot coals.
Guildhall Walk, Portsmouth will be ablaze on Thursday 29th October as dozens of brave souls gather to walk on 12feet of hot coals and we need you to get involved.
Starting between 6.30-7pm walkers have each pledged to raise £75 in sponsorship, which will go to Jubilee Sailing Trust and Wessex Cancer Trust, but there’s room for more.
Dressed in your Halloween best, watch ghosts and ghouls alike take a deep breath and step out onto the scorching pathway, which will be located in the Guildhall Square.
The experts from Firewalk UK will be on hand with a talk on how to conquer your fears before your big moment along with tonnes of support from spectators and other walkers.
Matt Graveling, events co-ordinator at Jubilee Sailing Trust (JST) explains, “As a charity JST are always looking to offer adventure and new experiences to everyone so we thought why not fundraise that way too. It’s great to have a partnership with Wessex Cancer Trust and show that charities can work alongside eachother.”
This is a rare opportunity to do something different, dress up for Halloween and raise money for two excellent causes.
